Three clean types, one crew of 2 to 4

Home Cleaning in Bristol and the Tri-Cities

Deep cleans, weekly, bi-weekly and monthly visits, and move-in or move-out cleans, done with vinegar, lemon juice and baking soda instead of bleach or ammonia.

Soap scum, range hood grease and the dust routine upkeep misses

A house in Bristol or Johnson City does not get dirty evenly. Soap scum builds on shower glass and tub walls, grease settles on the range hood and the knobs under it, and dust collects on blinds, windowsills and baseboards long after the floors look fine. Green House Cleaning Services sorts all of that into three types of clean so you only pay for the level of detail the house needs.

A deep clean is the first visit for most clients. The crew spends extra hours on buildup and the details a routine visit would skip, which is why a first clean runs 8 to 14 hours or more when buildup is heavy. Regular cleaning then keeps it there, weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly every 4 weeks. Most Green House clients settle on bi-weekly, and the more often the crew comes, the fewer hours each visit takes.

Move-in and move-out cleans work the other way around. You tell the office about the property and your priorities, and the clean is planned around an empty house, from handing back a rental in Kingsport to settling into a new place in Abingdon.

How the crew works through your rooms

Crews are 2 to 4 cleaners who work the house together, and they follow a room-by-room list. Throughout the house that means vacuuming carpets, rugs and stairs including the edges, mopping or washing floors for the surface, dusting blinds, lamps, light fixtures, furniture, picture frames and baseboards within reach, and cleaning mirrors. In the kitchen they do counters, cabinet fronts, sinks and faucets, the range top with its drip pans, burner grates, control knobs and range hood, the top and outside of the refrigerator, and the microwave inside and out including the turntable.

Bathrooms get the slowest pass. Showers, tubs and sinks are scrubbed for soap scum, vanities and toilets are sanitized down to the base, chrome is polished, and the floors and tile walls are scrubbed and deodorized. Every product is made from vinegar, lemon juice and baking soda, with no bleach and no ammonia, so the house is safe for kids and pets the minute the crew leaves.

Leave the crew a list if there is something you want focused on. Optional extras such as inside the oven, inside the refrigerator, thorough inside window glass, or a garage area go into your estimate request. The crew does not climb ladders, clean tilt windows, or wipe TV screens, and it will not open closed doors unless asked.

Keeping it clean between visits, and what it costs

Green House bills by the labor hour, per cleaner. Weekly and bi-weekly cleans are $40 per hour per cleaner, the initial deep clean and monthly cleans are $45, and there is a nominal service fee per visit that covers travel time. Two labor hours is the minimum. Two cleaners working two hours is four labor hours. An average-sized home takes 4 to 6 hours of cleaning, which the crew divides between them.

There is no walk-through for residential cleans. Call (423) 340-4016 and the office will give you a free estimate range over the phone, then tell you if the job looks likely to run longer once the crew is inside. If you set a budget, the crew starts with the rooms you care about most, usually bathrooms, kitchen, master bedroom and floors, and works down the list until the time runs out.

What keeps a house clean between visits is the schedule. A bi-weekly rhythm stops soap scum and grease from turning back into a deep-clean job, and clutter picked up before the crew arrives means more of the house gets cleaned in the hours you pay for. The office in Bristol and the Kingsport office both book new homes across the Tri-Cities.
