Weekly, Bi-Weekly, or Monthly: Choosing a Cleaning Schedule
The right schedule depends on how hard your house is used and how much buildup you are willing to let return.

Three schedules, two rates
Green House Cleaning Services offers three recurring schedules: weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly, with monthly meaning every four weeks. Weekly and bi-weekly visits are billed at the regular rate of $40 per hour, per cleaner. Monthly visits are billed at the deep clean rate of $45, plus the nominal per-visit service fee on every schedule.
Almost everyone begins with an initial deep clean at $45 and then settles into the schedule that fits. The first deep clean sets the baseline that your recurring visits maintain.
Weekly: for houses that get used hard
Weekly makes sense for a large family, a home with several pets, a house where someone works from the kitchen table, or a place where you host often. Bathrooms and kitchens collect the most use, and a weekly visit keeps them from ever building up much.
The more often the crew comes, the fewer hours each visit needs. That does not mean weekly costs less per month than monthly, because there are more visits. It means each visit is shorter and the house never drifts far from clean.
Bi-weekly: where most clients land
Most Green House customers choose bi-weekly, and the company describes it as a nice balance of cost savings and the ability to keep a home well maintained. Twice a month, the bathrooms are scrubbed, the kitchen is reset, the floors are done, and the dust never gets thick enough to see.
Bi-weekly also fits a calendar. Kevin Marshall, a customer, wrote that his household has used the company every other Thursday. A fixed day is easier to plan around than a loose arrangement, and it keeps you from putting the visit off until the house is already a mess.
Monthly: honest about what it is
Monthly cleaning works for a home that is lightly used, a household of one or two adults who are rarely home, or a family that tidies in between and wants a professional reset. Four weeks is long enough for soap scum, dust, and grease to return, which is exactly why monthly is billed at the $45 deep clean rate. The crew is doing more detail each time.
If you try monthly and the house feels behind by week three, that is useful information. Moving to bi-weekly moves you to the $40 rate, and each visit gets shorter.
Why a regular crew gets better at your house
There is a real advantage to repeat visits that has nothing to do with price. Familiarity saves time. A crew that has been in your house knows which rooms need extra attention, where the pet hair collects, and which counter you like left clear.
Customers say so in their reviews. Kevin Marshall wrote that he especially appreciates that they "remember our preferences without having to be reminded each visit." Dina, a customer of several years, wrote that the crew takes care of her large multi-level home "exactly according to my preferences."
You help that along by leaving a note when something changes. If a consistent crew matters to you, say so when you book and ask the office how visits are assigned.
A simple way to choose
Look at your house the morning before a visit. If the bathrooms already bother you and the floors are gritty, the gap between visits is too long, so move to a shorter one. If the house still looks fine, you might stretch the schedule out.
The bathroom is the best test. Soap scum builds quickly on shower glass and around faucets, and it is the hardest buildup to remove once it hardens. If you keep seeing a film on the glass a week after it was cleaned, your household probably wants a shorter interval than monthly.
Changing your mind is allowed
The company describes its plans as flexible and says it avoids rigid contracts, so you can adjust the frequency as your life changes. A new baby, a spring of renovations, or a family that is out all summer might each call for a different cadence. Tell the office, and keep cancellations to a minimum, with as much notice as you can give when you need to skip a visit.
